British PM Liz Truss resigns after only 44 days in office
The title of the shortest-serving Prime Minister in British History has now been taken from 1827’s George Canning (who passed from tuberculosis or pneumonia after 118 days in office) and handed to Liz Truss, who stood in office for a meager 44 days.
